Heat Pump Technologies, 2-3 April 2025: the industry answers the call
A significant number of key players have confirmed their participation, and up to 14 trade associations will support the upcoming heat pump exhibition and conference
Milano XX December 2024 – Many key players, with over 20 per cent from abroad, have already confirmed their participation as exhibitors at the Heat Pump Technologies (HPT). The event, focusing on heat pumps and related technologies, will take place on April 2 and 3, 2025, at Allianz MiCo in Milan. It includes leading manufacturers of heat pumps and suppliers of components, valves, refrigerant gases, metering systems, heat exchangers, accessories and more.
"This critical response from the leading companies in the heat pump market for the inaugural event in Italy highlights the importance of the project and the urgent need for collaboration in discussing the future of this sector in the coming years," emphasised Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of RX Italy, organiser of HPT. He made these remarks at the Angaisa conference on November 28, where he introduced the new exhibition and conference. “Heat pumps will be essential for achieving decarbonisation. Even though the market is currently slowing down, we need to invest in training to improve our understanding of the supply chain and maximise its potential. Heat Pump Technologies is dedicated to building an innovative platform where the entire supply chain can unite and collaborate efficiently.”
Trade associations have also supported the event from the very beginning. Fourteen key partners from the Heat Pump Technologies sector will contribute significant value added, including Aicarr, Angaisa, Assistal, Assoclima, Assogriforisti, Assotermica, Associazione Tecnici del Freddo, AVR, Anima, CNA, CNCC, Eurovent, Green Building Council Italia, and KNX National Italia.
In this important context, the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) will bring value added as conference co-organiser. EHPA will be attending the event with its new Director General, Paul Kenny. The association will provide an overview of the actions that the European Commission is taking to accelerate the heat pump market and its adoption. This presentation will include case studies from the industrial sector and will emphasize the importance of certifications.
Research activities are currently underway. On December 2, the second meeting took place at the POLIMI Graduate School of Management, involving thirteen companies actively collaborating on a study regarding the current state and anticipated developments of heat pumps in Italy over the next 3 to 5 years. This study is being conducted by the Energy & Strategy Group think tank at the Polytechnic University of Milan. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of available technologies, current regulations, and existing incentive programmes. The research and data findings will be unveiled during HPT 2025.
"The event is intended for all the players directly involved in the energy transition, including design firms, facility and energy managers, general contractors, real estate stakeholders, installation and distribution companies, as well as institutions and technicians from the Public Administration," Pierini noted. “To fulfil a desire for information and perspectives, we are organising an agenda that includes two Main Conferences on the two mornings. These will feature experts and representatives from institutional, national, and international backgrounds. The afternoon sessions will include keynote speakers from the leading companies and trade associations in this market. The event will also showcase the latest solutions and provide a networking hub to discuss the opportunities and complexities of the current landscape”.
